IoT platforms

Alibaba Group's cloud unit with IoT Platform services for device connection, management and data forwarding

Alibaba Cloud is the cloud computing subsidiary of Alibaba Group and operates IoT Platform from data centres in China and six regions abroad. The platform connects devices over MQTT, CoAP and HTTPS, manages device identities and firmware, and forwards telemetry through rules to its databases, message queues and analytics products. New customers get a free public instance with a small fixed quota, while production workloads run on subscription Enterprise Edition instances sized by concurrent devices and message throughput. It is used by consumer electronics makers, utilities and industrial customers, mainly in the Chinese market.
