Beckhoff Automation is a German family-owned company that builds PC-based control technology for machine builders, process plants and building automation. Its industrial PCs, embedded controllers and I/O terminals run the TwinCAT software platform, which combines PLC, motion, vision and IoT functions in one runtime. Beckhoff developed and maintains the EtherCAT fieldbus and supplies TwinCAT IoT modules that publish machine data to MQTT brokers and cloud services.
