Helium (Nova Labs)

Decentralized LoRaWAN and cellular networks built from community-owned hotspots and token incentives

Nova Labs created the Helium Network, a decentralized wireless network in which individuals deploy LoRaWAN hotspots and cellular radios and receive token rewards for providing coverage. The company runs Helium Mobile, a carrier that offloads traffic onto community radios, and offers enterprise LoRaWAN connectivity through the network’s roaming partners. Network governance moved to the Helium Foundation while Nova Labs develops the core software.
