Hologram

Cellular IoT connectivity with a global multi-carrier SIM and a self-service management dashboard.

Hologram is a cellular IoT connectivity provider: it issues SIMs and eSIMs that roam across many carriers in many countries, bills by data used, and provides a dashboard and API for activating, pausing and monitoring devices. It does not make hardware or run a device cloud, which makes it a natural partner for teams that build their own device and platform but do not want to negotiate with mobile operators.

Providers of this kind, often called MVNOs for IoT, compete on coverage, pricing transparency and the quality of the connectivity management platform. The questions to ask any of them are the same: which networks and which technologies (LTE-M, NB-IoT, 5G) are covered in the countries you ship to, and what happens to pricing at scale.
