Moonshine AI, previously known as Useful Sensors, develops speech recognition models and small hardware modules that run entirely on the device. Its Moonshine speech-to-text models are designed for low latency on microcontrollers and single-board computers, and earlier products such as the Person Sensor and AI in a Box offered presence detection and voice interaction without cloud connections. The company publishes much of its work as open source.
