SmartThings is the smart home platform owned by Samsung Electronics. It provides the SmartThings app, cloud and hub software that link Samsung TVs and appliances with third-party Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi and Matter devices from other brands. Users create automations and routines, and developers publish device integrations through the SmartThings Edge driver framework. The platform also acts as a Matter controller and Thread border router through Samsung hubs and station devices.
