Wirepas develops a software-only mesh networking protocol that runs on standard Bluetooth-capable radio chips and lets devices route traffic among themselves without a central coordinator. It is used in smart lighting, electricity metering, asset tracking and building sensors, with deployments of hundreds of thousands of nodes. The company also contributed the technology that became the ETSI DECT-2020 NR+ standard.
