MediaTek is a fabless chip designer whose products reach smartphones, televisions, routers and IoT devices. Its Genio platform provides Arm-based application processors with CPU, GPU and NPU for smart displays, cameras, robots and voice assistants, in tiers from the value Genio 350 and 360 through the mainstream Genio 510, 520, 700 and 720 to the Genio Pro 5100 and Genio 1200, with ten-year supply longevity and maintained Linux (Yocto and Ubuntu) and Android BSPs. The MT8875 is positioned as a 5G IoT platform for generative AI applications, and the Filogic family supplies Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity for modules and gateways. MediaTek sells through system-on-module makers, ODMs and distributors rather than directly, and module vendors such as Quectel build edge AI modules on Genio.

Pricing model
MediaTek publishes no chip or evaluation-kit prices; Genio processors reach customers through the SOM, ODM, VAR and distributor partners listed in its Partner Directory, and Genio evaluation kits come from those partners. BSPs for Yocto, Ubuntu and Android are downloaded from the genio.mediatek.com developer portal, which has an account login and a Genio NDA page. Official pricing page.
Known limits
- No direct online sales or published pricing; sourcing goes through partners
- Some platform resources sit behind a developer account and the Genio NDA
- Genio BSPs are maintained per release (Yocto 26.0 / Ubuntu 24.04 / Android 16) so older kits may lag

- NXP Semiconductors: Microcontrollers, crossover processors, NFC and secure elements for edge and automotive devices
