NXP Semiconductors makes microcontrollers, application processors, NFC chips and secure elements for automotive, industrial and consumer products. Its i.MX RT crossover MCUs, i.MX applications processors, MCX microcontrollers (from the value MCX C to the wireless MCX W) and EdgeLock SE05x secure elements are used in gateways, meters, payment terminals and smart home devices, with the EdgeLock 2GO service handling key provisioning and Matter device attestation certificates. The company also sells Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 802.15.4 tri-radio SoCs, Trimension ultra-wideband chips and NFC readers, and supports Matter on its connectivity portfolio. The MCUXpresso suite (IDE, SDKs and configuration tools) covers most of its Arm Cortex-M parts.
