u-blox develops positioning and short-range wireless chips and modules. Its GNSS receivers, including the ZED-F9P and NEO-F9P high-precision parts, the newer ZED-X20 automotive modules and the MAX-M10 and F10 low-power lines, are used in telematics, drones, robotic mowers and agricultural machinery, while the NORA, NINA and MAYA families provide Bluetooth LE, Wi-Fi 6 and 802.15.4 modules. The company also runs the PointPerfect correction service for centimetre-level positioning, delivered through its Thingstream platform with usage-based plans.
u-blox left the cellular module market in 2025: it sold the cellular business (SARA, LARA and LEXI modules, with staff, sites and IP) to Trasna in June 2025 and the cellular-satellite line to Trident IoT, so it now reports only its Locate and Short-Range divisions. Teams with existing u-blox cellular designs deal with Trasna for supply and support.

Pricing model
Modules are bought through the Sample & Buy section of each product page (Buy Now links to resellers) and the u-blox distributor network; no unit prices are published on u-blox.com. PointPerfect Flex corrections are billed by hours used, per device or pooled across a fleet, month to month with no annual commitment, and new Thingstream accounts get a 30-day free trial. Official pricing page.
Known limits
- u-blox exited cellular modules: the sale of that business to Trasna closed on 6 June 2025 and the cellular-satellite line went to Trident IoT; SARA / LARA / LEXI parts are no longer u-blox products
- PointPerfect coverage is continental (Europe / contiguous USA / Canada / South Korea / Australia) rather than global
- The free PointPerfect trial applies to new Thingstream accounts only
