PTC

CAD, PLM, ALM and field-service software (Creo, Windchill, Codebeamer, ServiceMax); its ThingWorx and Kepware IoT lines moved to Velotic in 2026

PTC is a US software company. In March 2026 it completed the sale of its ThingWorx industrial IoT platform and Kepware connectivity business to the investment firm TPG for $523 million in cash; both products now trade under Velotic, a new company that also absorbed GE Vernova’s Proficy software. Kepware Server still exposes PLC data over OPC UA and MQTT through more than 150 drivers, but under Velotic ownership. PTC itself now concentrates on Creo and Onshape CAD, Windchill and Arena PLM, Codebeamer application lifecycle management, ServiceMax field service and Vuforia augmented reality, which remain relevant to connected-product programmes for digital-thread and service workflows.
